Ask us anything.

Most answers are below. For anything else, email us and a person who built the app writes back.

Getting started

How do I sign in?

Enter your email and we send an 8-digit code (and a link that works on your phone). No password.

Where do I start?

Mark your property line or tap public land to make a hunt area, add a couple of stands with the winds they hunt, and an access route. Then tap Ask AI → Plan my weekend.

I have a code from a friend

Maps → Account → Have a code?, and enter it.

Moving from another app

Can I bring my onX waypoints?

Yes. Export from onX (or Gaia, CalTopo, BaseMap, Garmin, Google Earth) as GPX, KML, KMZ or GeoJSON, then share the file to DECOHunt or use Your maps → Import. Types are guessed from icons and names; set any unsure ones in one tap.

And take them out again?

Settings → Export marks (GPX) opens in onX, Gaia, Garmin and other mapping apps. Export everything saves a full backup file.

Maps and land

My property is under clouds

Switch the base map to Leaf-on (every state) or Leaf-off (New York) in Layers.

Why is there no parcel layer in my state?

We add states as their counties publish open parcel data. 18 are live; more are being built.

Does it work without signal?

Yes. Download a map’s ground in Layers → Offline, before you go.

AI and DecoCast

How long does a plan take?

30 to 90 seconds. Items appear on the map as they’re drawn.

The AI says my area is too big

Plans read up to about 2,000 acres. Draw a hunt area or zoom in.

Is DecoCast a percent?

No, a 0–100 index where 50 is an average hour of legal light early in the season. The DecoCast page explains it.

Account and data

I deleted something

Settings → Recently deleted restores maps, marks, sits and chats from the last 30 days.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, under Account. Or email us.
